The purported murder of Comfort Hajia Anura, a 29-year-old lady, has shocked the people of Naka and the surrounding towns in Benue State.
According to locals, Anura was attacked by a man who was mentally disturbed, and she eventually passed away from her wounds.
The incident took place in Naka, the Gwer West Local Government Area headquarters, in January 2026. Ado Benjamin posted on Facebook on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, claiming that Comfort was severely injured after the suspect attacked her with a stick.
Tensions increased following the attack, according to sources, and the claimed attacker was slain on the spot soon after. However, as officials have not yet released an official announcement, facts regarding his death’s circumstances are still unknown.
