The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied reports that its State Chairman called all supervisors and Supervisory Leaders of Government (SLGs) to the party secretariat in Acme due to orders allegedly given at the Presidential Villa.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Seye Oladejo, the recently re-elected Lagos APC spokesman, clarified that the claim was inaccurate and deceptive.
The statement said that the party was aware of allegations that, in accordance with purported orders from the Villa, the State Chairman had called all SLGs and supervisors back to Acme.
The statement said, “We wish to categorically state that this report is false, misleading, and clearly intended to create unnecessary tension within our party and among the public.”
Oladejo emphasized that the State Chairman never gave such an order and that no emergency meeting was planned, despite rumors to the contrary.
He reiterated that the Lagos APC is still a law-abiding, transparent, and disciplined political organization that follows due process and group decision-making.
The party’s current top objective, according to the spokesman, is to set up the required frameworks in advance of the upcoming national elections.
He declared, “We are fully committed to strengthening our internal processes and mobilizing effectively to ensure continued progress and victory at the polls.”
The party urged its members, sympathizers, and the general public to abstain from disseminating or entertaining rumors that could incite needless conflict in the political system.
It promised to keep disseminating official updates via its approved means.
