Grace-Charis Bassey Effah, a former Nollywood actress and US Navy officer, has declared her engagement.
The actress, originally known as Belinda Effah, posted pictures of herself and her fiancé on her Facebook page on Tuesday, according to Naija News.
The photos showed her wearing an engagement ring as she celebrated the occasion, but she did not disclose the identify of the man she is getting married to.
Finding love was a dream come true, according to Grace, who expressed happiness about the new phase of her life.
She did not, however, reveal the location or time of the proposal or offer any other information about her fiancé.
“Answered prayers,” she wrote. You melt when true love finds you, even though it feels like a dream.
More than a year has passed since she quit the Nigerian film business to pursue a military career in the United States.
Grace gained notoriety in 2025 following her graduation from US Navy boot camp. After swearing the oath of allegiance, she also became a citizen of the United States.
Grace said that her travel was motivated by her late father, retired naval commander Asido Bassey Effah, and dedicated the accomplishment to him.
Grace clarified that she no longer felt the same level of fulfillment in her career as she had before leaving Nollywood.
She claimed that because she was raised in a military family and attended the Nigerian Navy Secondary School in Port Harcourt, joining the US Navy had always been one of her longtime dreams.
