Epstein Records: Bill Gates Leaves the AI Summit in New Delhi

After his name surfaced in recently made public documents connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates canceled his planned keynote speech at a significant artificial intelligence meeting in India.

AFP reports that the Gates Foundation confirmed the decision Thursday morning, stating that it was made to maintain focus on the event’s main agenda.

“After careful consideration, Gates will not be delivering his keynote address to ensure the focus remains on the AI Summit’s key priorities,” the foundation said in a statement.

The organization remained dedicated to its programs in India, it continued.

According to the statement, “The Gates Foundation is still totally dedicated to our work in India to further our common health and development objectives.”

According to Naija News, at the meeting in New Delhi, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top IT CEOs are scheduled to discuss the potential and dangers of artificial intelligence.

The foundation announced that Gates would be replaced by the president in charge of its operations in Africa and India.

Epstein Files Dispute
This comes as the US Justice Department released a new batch of records that included correspondence between Epstein, who committed suicide in jail in 2019, and a number of other well-known people.

A draft email in which Epstein allegedly accused Gates of having extramarital affairs was one of the documents.

Gates, however, refuted the allegations and the email’s veracity.

In an interview with 9News Australia, Gates stated, “I regret and I apologize for every minute I spent with him.”

“I never sent that email. It’s a fake email. I have no idea what he was thinking at the time. Was he attempting to harm me in any way?” he continued.

After the documents were made public, a representative for Gates also denied any wrongdoing, claiming that they were more a reflection of Epstein’s annoyance.

The representative claimed that the records simply showed Epstein’s annoyance at not having a continuing relationship with Gates and the extent to which he would go to trap and discredit him.

Melinda French Gates, Gates’ ex-wife, claimed that the document release brought back painful memories of their marriage.

“The document dump brought back memories of some very, very painful times in my marriage,” she told NPR.

“I am unable to fully comprehend all of the questions that still exist; they are for those individuals as well as my ex-husband. They, not me, must answer for those things.

After almost thirty years of marriage, the pair finalized their divorce in 2021, according to Naija News.
