While vehemently disputing reports that more DNA testing was done in 2020, the mother of Anu, the 12-year-old daughter at the center of an ongoing paternity dispute involving Afrobeats artist Davido, has accused the Adeleke family of intimidation, deception, and misuse of power.
She added that her family was surprised to learn that her sister, Titilayo Labinjoh, had been in contact with Dr. Adedeji Adeleke since the COVID-19 pandemic in a statement that was made public late on Wednesday.
“I was shocked to learn that since the outbreak, my sister Titi Labinjoh has supposedly had in contact with Dr. Deji Adeleke. “About what?” she inquired.
According to her, Titilayo recently called their mother from Abuja, expressing concern over Anu’s renewed media exposure and grievances from her coworkers.
“Our mother advised her to disregard it. “What about Anu, who has to put up with everything?” she asked, adding that she was heartbroken by claims that her sister might have gotten money from the Adeleke family.
She disputed allegations that she collaborated with notorious blogger Kemi Olunloyo to advance the story and described the scenario as a betrayal within her own household,
“Dr. Kemi opened this page and took photos online, some she took with Anu and some I posted myself,” she added, elaborating on her connection to Olunloyo. In 2019, she gave us the page. I don’t use social media, and I haven’t posted in four years.
She clarified that she started blogging again in 2023 during Anu’s tenth birthday photo shoot, emphasizing that Anu now lives with her grandma and that she no longer lived in Ibadan.
“I work as a trader. I purchase my stuff from bordering nations. Titi didn’t have time to tell Dr. Kemi to stop posting about Anu. They don’t communicate and don’t have contact with one another.
She also mentioned that the family has not communicated with Olunloyo despite her ongoing public commentary, and that her mother, Mrs. Ropo Labinjoh, broadcasts some of Anu’s videos on her own.
She recalled past incidents, pointing out that Olunloyo conducted a news conference on behalf of the family and publicly backed them during an appeal in 2018.
“Sir, you should not be speaking on David’s behalf as the patriarch of the family,” she wrote in a direct message to Dr. Adeleke. Sophia is not negotiating child support on my behalf. Allow David to speak to me.
She also claimed that a family member was utilized to keep an eye on the Adeleke family and accused them of misusing their wealth and power.
“Your money and authority are being misused here. It’s clear that David is a boy and not a man.
“If anything happens to me, my daughter, or my mom, the police should hold you responsible,” she said.
In response to contradicting statements on DNA testing, she categorically refuted Dr. Adeleke’s claim that additional testing was carried out years after the first procedure.
She said, “Anu and I never met with you in 2020 for four additional DNA tests.”
She also rejected the idea that Anu and B-Red, Davido’s cousin, were related.
“I haven’t seen B-Red since they had dinner at the GQ Club in Ibadan, where I work, in February 2013. Anu is unfamiliar with B-Red.
She claims that Kemi Olunloyo’s inquiries during a thorough interview—parts of which are currently making the rounds online—were the source of concerns about B-Red.
She thought I might have slept with him too. That interview is currently making the rounds. “After the tests, sir,” she said.
Less than a day has passed since Davido’s father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, officially addressed the topic and described how the Adeleke family arranged several DNA tests to ascertain whether 12-year-old Anuoluwapo is biologically connected to the singer.
In that interview, Dr. Adeleke also revealed how the family initially learned about the child, citing records, pictures, and letters purportedly connecting Davido to Anu’s mother. According to him, this led the family to seek what he called comprehensive DNA testing to settle the issue.
