Pep Guardiola of Manchester City Responds to Rosenior’s Termination

After the coach was fired by Chelsea after a crushing loss to Brighton & Hove Albion, Pep Guardiola showed sympathy for Liam Rosenior.

According to Naija News, Rosenior was fired on Wednesday following Chelsea’s 3-0 Premier League loss on Sunday. Guardiola expressed sympathy for the 41-year-old and stated he thinks he should be at the highest level.

“I’m so sorry,” Guardiola said following Manchester City’s 1-0 victory over Burnley.

“I believe he is a manager at that level.

“Whenever this occurs, I always consider how fortunate I am to be in the club where I am.”

With their close victory, City returned to the top of the Premier League for the first time since August, intensifying the race for the championship with Arsenal.

With a goal differential of 37, both teams currently have 70 points. With 66 goals as opposed to Arsenal’s 63, City leads the standings.

Guardiola acknowledged that there is no room for error in the last stretch. “We have five games following the FA Cup. “Winning every game is the only way to win the title,” he stated.

Under Guardiola, City last won the Premier League trophy in 2023. To preserve their lead in the race for the championship, they must continue to finish flawlessly.
