
With his goal in Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Caykur Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig, Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen became the team’s all-time fourth-highest scoring foreign player.
After Yunus Akgün extended the advantage for the visitors and Barış Alper Yılmaz opened the score in the 19th minute, Osimhen completed the victory with Galatasaray’s third goal in the 73rd minute.
With his goal, the Nigerian international surpassed former striker Bafétimbi Gomis, who scored 51 goals for the team, to reach 52 goals for Galatasaray.
Osimhen is now fourth among the foreign players with the most goals at Galatasaray, after Milan Baros (61 goals), Gheorghe Hagi (72 goals), and Mauro Icardi (73 goals).
The highest-scoring foreign player in Galatasaray history, with 73 goals, is Mauro Icardi.
