In a free and fair election, the NDC will prevail before noon, according to Fayose

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) would win the 2027 presidential election if it is held in a free and fair manner, according to businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose.

According to Naija News, Fayose, the younger brother of Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, made the claim in a Facebook post on Sunday.

He was reacting to Lere Olayinka, a media assistant to Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, who allegedly questioned his ability to influence elections in Ekiti State.

Fayose responded by accusing his political rivals of using alleged electoral fraud and vote-buying.

“Why are you people rigging elections if you believe I have no electoral value in Ekiti State? He questioned, “Why are you people purchasing votes for up to ₦50,000?”

Additionally, he claimed that a few of his followers had been detained just prior to the Ekiti governorship election.

“A week before the Ekiti governorship election, why are you people detaining my boys?” Fayose continued.

Fayose maintained that contested election results or court rulings should not be used to gauge political influence.

He declared, “Electoral value is not based on judicial pronouncement or rigging.”

He insisted that the NDC had significant voter support and would win if the people were free to choose without intervention.

Fayose also projected that in an open presidential election, the opposing party would win early.

“If a free and fair election is held today, the NDC will win before noon,” he declared.

He claimed that the ability of the dominant political elite to rig elections was their primary advantage over the opposition.

Fayose said, “The people are silent, and the only power you people have over us is rigging.”
