Asari Dokubo: “I will campaign against Kwankwaso because he cannot sell Muslims.”

Prior to the national elections in 2027, former Niger Delta militant leader Asari Dokubo has pledged to oppose previous presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Dokubo accused the former Kano governor of attempting to deceive Muslim voters in a video that was circulating on social media.

He expressed confident that Kano voters will reject him at the polls and promised to organize against Kwankwaso.

“In the 2027 election, I will be leading the campaign against Rabiu Kwankwaso. He believes he can sell Muslims for kobo kobo. This time, Kano will surprise you, but we’re going to let him down,” he remarked.

Additionally, he claimed that Kwankwaso was using aggressive words to cast doubt on his trustworthiness with Northern people in order to manipulate political feelings.

Political activity within opposition ranks has increased after Kwankwaso recently left the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and joined the ADC. Consultations and counter-mobilization are already picking up steam before 2027.

As at the time this story was filed, Kwankwaso had not yet addressed the allegations.

In the meantime, Kwankwaso has urged Nigerians to fully engage in the general elections of 2027, both domestically and internationally.

Kwankwaso, a leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), made the plea in a video on Monday night using his official 𝕏 handle, according to Naija News.

In advance of the next elections, the former governor of Kano State advised Nigerians, particularly young people, to finish registering to vote with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as soon as possible.

Additionally, he asked Nigerians to sign up for the ADC as the coalition party is ready to remove President Bola Tinubu from office.

“Fellow Nigerians, it’s time for every eligible Nigerian, young and old, in the cities and villages, at home and in the diaspora, to take two decisive steps:

“As soon as possible, register to vote with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

“Sign up with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).”
