Following a truck collision on Wednesday morning at Otedola Bridge along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, inward Lagos, drivers and other road users have been asked to seek alternate routes.
Officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) claim that the incident happened about 7:00 a.m. and caused severe traffic congestion in the region.
There was only one lane available for other drivers after the truck, which was transporting two 20-foot containers, toppled and blocked around 90% of the road.
A rescue vehicle has been sent to remove the fallen truck and clear the road, while LASTMA police have been called to the area to control traffic and help stranded drivers.
