“I will cooperate fully,” Justice Tsoho says in response to the CCB summons.

Justice John Tsoho, Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, has assured the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) that he is prepared to assist with current investigations related to his asset declaration form.

Justice Tsoho pledged to be transparent about the development in a statement released Monday by Dr. Catherine Oby Christopher, the Federal High Court of Nigeria’s Director of Information.

According to previous reports, the CCB called Justice Tsoho to appear before it and answer questions about his alleged undeclared bank accounts, as Naija News remembers.

He was unable to adhere to the planned dates, nevertheless.

According to Dr. Christopher’s statement, “RE: CHIEF JUDGE’S REPRESENTATION AND PROPOSED DATE FOR APPEARANCE BEFORE THE CODE OF CONDUCT BUREAU,” Justice Tsoho is still “fully committed to cooperating with the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) in respect of its invitation.”

However, the statement also stated that the Justice is now abroad for medical reasons but will be prepared to accept the CCB invitation when he gets back.

It further stated that Justice Tsoho would be accompanied by his legal representative, Kanu Godwin Agabi (SAN), in compliance with the CJ’s constitutional right to consult and be represented by lawyers of his choice.

As the Chief Judge is now abroad for medical reasons, Agabi “has indicated his readiness to accompany the Chief Judge to the Bureau upon his return to Nigeria,” the statement continued.

According to his present schedule, the CCB has been advised that Justice Tsoho will be available to accept their invitation on any day starting Monday, March 16, 2026.

“Any date within the week commencing Monday, 16 March 2026 is convenient for the Honourable Chief Judge and his counsel for scheduling purposes,” the notification partially said.

The Chief Judge reaffirmed his dedication to respect for the rule of law, due process, and “transparency.”

Recall that according to papers seen by Premium Times, Justice Tsoho allegedly failed to reveal a number of bank accounts, including naira and domiciliary accounts, in the asset declaration form he turned in to the bureau on April 29, 2024.
