Congressman Riley Moore of the United States has issued a strong warning to terrorists who are attacking Christians in Nigeria.
He said that the rebels will suffer repercussions in an interview with NewsNation presenter Anna Kooiman on Sunday.
He cautioned them against challenging US President Donald Trump’s determination to defend Christians in Nigeria.
He acknowledged that Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, the second-in-command of ISIS worldwide, was killed in a combined Nigerian-American operation that Trump ordered.
The recent strike and the larger issue of religious persecution in northeastern Nigeria were also highlighted by the Republican member of the House Appropriations Committee.
“President Trump is devoted to protecting our Christian brothers and sisters in Nigeria from the murder and sacrifice they have endured at the hands of radical Islamic terrorists.
The attack on Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, the second-largest ISIS group in the world, makes it quite evident that anyone who targets defenseless Christians will be apprehended and prosecuted. Moore posted a video clip of the interview on his 𝕏 account on Monday along with the message, “Do not test President Trump’s resolve.”
He said that after Trump designated Nigeria as a nation of particular concern on October 31 of last year, the administration’s interaction with the country had increased.
The legislator added that he was personally instructed by Trump to look into the matter.
