
Following the online circulation of images and videos purportedly depicting the late actor Alex Ekubo’s wife, Nollywood actress Uche Jombo responded.
According to Naija News, the pictures became popular on social media a day after the late actor was honored with a musical service.
The posts swiftly went viral on several platforms and brought attention to a previously unknown aspect of his personal life.
Jombo reacted to the way the issue was handled publicly on her social media profile.
She claimed that even those who were close to the actor appreciated his decision to keep their relationship private in order to protect his wife.
The actress further noted that although the woman had made a covert appearance at the singing service, her identity was nevertheless extensively disseminated on social media.
“A husband who was under public scrutiny kept his wife private (to protect her), none of his close friends ever shared her picture, and she wore a face mask to his service of songs,” the author said. However, bloggers didn’t seem to get the privacy message. Her photos and videos were all over my TL as breaking news when I woke up today.
Grace Makun and other associates had previously disclosed that he was married but kept it a secret.
The actor’s family later confirmed this when he passed away, stating that he had been married prior to his demise.
In an interview, actor Williams Uchemba also acknowledged the marriage, but he declined to provide specifics, stating that he preferred to keep his private life private.
At the age of forty, Alexx Ekubo passed away on May 11. After a quiet fight with illness, his family says he died from complications associated with advanced metastatic kidney cancer.
