“They Ripped Me, My Fight With Carter Efe Was Rigged,” said Portable, threatening the organizers

Nigerian musician Habeeb Badmus, better known by his stage name Portable, has claimed that Carter Efe’s victory over him at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event in Lagos was rigged.

According to Portable, the battle was unjustly stopped in order to prohibit the organizers from paying out enormous sums of money that were purportedly placed on his victory.

After three rounds, all three judges scored the celebrity boxing match 27–30 in favor of Efe, and the singer lost by unanimous decision.

According to Naija News, Portable’s reign as the celebrity boxing champion came to an end as a result of his earlier triumphs over Speed Darlington and Charles Okocha.

“They were unable to pay the ₦23 billion wager on me.”

The ZaZoo crooner responded to the fight by claiming that he was duped and that money that was purportedly bet on him had an impact on the result.

It was dishonest. They rigged it since they were unable to pay the money. They ripped me because we were the winners. They were unable to cover the ₦23 billion that was wagered on me. “Portable will never be able to pay the money if they win,” he stated.

Portable claimed that the decision to terminate the battle was premature and that he should have been permitted to fight on.

He insisted that his physical state during the Carter Efe fight was insufficient enough to end the fight, drawing comparisons to his previous celebrity boxing match against actor Charles Okocha.

They ought to have allowed us to continue fighting. They claimed that I was breathing heavily, and I responded similarly to Charles Okocha. He said, “They said the fight was over, but all they should have done was pour water on me so I could go beat him.”

₦200 million in streaming money is demanded by Portable.
Additionally, Portable claimed that the event’s organizers owed him money from the streaming proceeds.

The singer insisted on receiving what he claimed to be his portion of the earnings.

I would like to give the organizers my stream money, which is approximately N200 million. Before I get into problems, just give me my money,” he said.

The aftermath of the fight, which had drawn interest from entertainment and celebrity boxing fans, was further complicated by his outburst.

Arinze Onwumelu, a Nigerian physician living in Canada, has recommended that Portable have a brain scan after the altercation.

Onwumelu, also referred to as Dr. Zo, cautioned that the singer’s sensitive head regions might have been impacted by some of the blows given during the fight.

He asked Portable’s loved ones to get him checked out so that any inside injuries might be ruled out.

He remarked, “Anyone who knows Portable should take him to the hospital for an MRI and brain test; there might have been an artery that was damaged.”

The physician also advocated for more safety regulations in celebrity boxing competitions, stating that participants in these exhibition matches ought to be required to wear headgear.

Portable stated that the birth of his kid that same evening was more important to him than the boxing title, despite the loss, accusations of foul play, and the health issues brought up following the fight.

The musician claimed that becoming a father once more put the fight’s outcome in perspective.

“A bouncy baby boy was just born to my wife. That is more valuable to me than a belt. “You can purchase the belt, but not my kid,” he remarked.

Although Portable’s unbeaten streak in celebrity boxing came to an end with his loss against Carter Efe, the singer has persisted in claiming that he was wrongfully denied victory.
