Fuji singer Shanko Rasheed’s wife has accused him of deserting her and their kids after their son passed away.
The rumors first appeared a few days after the musician revealed on social media that he had lost his child, calling the experience one that no parent should have to go through, according to Naija News.
The woman said that the artist abandoned her during a trying time in her life in a video that is currently going viral online.
She clarified that her legs were injured in an accident on October 11 that prevented her from working.
She claims that at the time, she was left to look after their three children by herself.
She added that a quit notice was later given by their landlord. She claimed that in order to pay the rent, the singer requested her to take out a loan. She said that even after receiving the money, he did not continue to support the family.
The woman went on to say that they were eventually evicted from their house and had to take temporary refuge in a church. She said that despite multiple requests, the artist had refused to cover the kids’ tuition.
She also mentioned how difficult it was for her to pay hospital fees when their late son fell unwell during that time. She claims that in order to pay for the medical bills, she had to rely on loans and the assistance of generous people.
She asserted that the singer had obtained custody of their two surviving children and urged Nigerians to support her.
“I had an accident on October 11 and it affected my legs,” she stated. I was left to care for our three kids on my own as I was unable to work again. Our landlord gave us a notice to vacate following my accident. He advised me to go get a loan so I could cover the rent. He took the money from me after I went to borrow it, but he still failed to look after us.
Later, we were forced to remain at a church after being kicked out of the house. I begged him repeatedly, but he refused to pay the school costs. I found it difficult to raise the money for my son’s medical care when he became ill. I received assistance and took out loans. I’m pleading with Nigerians to assist me. I no longer have our two children because of him.
The artist hasn’t addressed the accusations in public as of this article.
