At the 46th Miss Nigeria Patrons & Board Dinner in Lagos on Sunday, Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde caused a commotion when she momentarily refused to answer a young presenter.
The actress was among the high-profile attendees, according to Naija News.
The presenter, who appeared inexperienced, asked Omotola to identify herself during a live broadcast in a video that went viral online.
“All right, welcome to the 2026 Miss Nigeria dinner,” the host stated. Right now, I live with…?
She was taken aback by the inquiry and hesitated before responding.
Before leaving, she expressed her frustration and asked if the presenter was prepared to conduct the interview.
Who are you here with? Should I tell you my name? “You’re not prepared,” she remarked.
Omotola denied the presenter’s attempt to clarify that he merely wanted to give her name for the audience because she was weary and didn’t think it was necessary.
The presenter said, “I know you, Omotola Jalade, I just want fans to know who I am with.”
“Why should I let fans know me?” she retorted. I’m worn out.
In spite of this, the interview went on for a short while as the presenter tried to talk to her further.
Omotola, who recently celebrated her 30th wedding anniversary with Matthew Ekeinde, was clearly irritated by the conversation and expressed her disapproval of the strategy.
