The recent African tour by American streamer and influencer IShowSpeed was allegedly a surveillance operation for businessman Elon Musk, according to well-known Nigerian artist Seun Kuti.
According to Naija News, IShowSpeed claimed that the tour’s goal was to promote African culture when it traveled to 20 African nations in January 2026.
In a video posted on his social media profile, Seun Kuti refuted the assertion, claiming that Elon Musk funded the visit to find out how far his satellites had traveled throughout Africa.
Seun described how the tour’s producer and promoter had gotten in touch with him previously and that he had learned of the tour’s “main” goal a few days prior.
“You can’t know the deals they’re making behind the scenes,” he stated. The persons they are speaking to behind the scenes are unknown to you. They all have agender, but you just assume they’re coming to talk to you.
“I agreed to see you after the promoter and producer of IShowSpeed’s African tour called. However, once they arrived in Nigeria, they didn’t contact me or return to the shrine. The promoter is a friend of mine, but I don’t want to reveal his name.
None of them answered when I called or sent messages. He began sending me some sort of yeye message after the whole affair. I don’t really mind, so I don’t even give it much thought.
“Only to discover the day before yesterday that Elon Musk was the one who funded the entire endeavor to determine where his satellite would reach Africa.” They were going to bushy places for that reason. That means Elon Musk was working as a spy.
