Man United suffers as Patrick Dorgu will miss ten weeks due to hamstring strain.

In-form winger Patrick Dorgu is expected to miss approximately ten weeks due to a hamstring injury sustained during Sunday’s thrilling 3-2 triumph at Arsenal, dealing Manchester United a serious injury setback.

The 21-year-old Denmark international, who moved from Lecce to United a year ago, contributed to the three points at the Emirates with a spectacular half-volley from the edge of the box. But after pulling up while pursuing a long ball, he hobbled out in the last moments, initially looking to have a cramp.

After the game, Michael Carrick, the interim head coach, expressed optimism that the problem was not serious.

In his press conference, Carrick stated, “He ended up coming off with a little bit of cramp; hopefully it’s nothing worse.” “We’ll just have to wait and see because it’s difficult to tell at this point, but we’re hoping it’s not too bad.”

A more serious hamstring tear has since been confirmed by additional scans and evaluations. According to sources, Dorgu may be out until mid-April, which means he won’t be able to play in United’s next eight Premier League games or during the March international break, when he was supposed to represent Denmark in the World Cup play-offs.

Carrick continued, “Pat has been a big player for us over the last couple of games offensively—he’s scored two goals, but in terms of his threat and athleticism and his quality coming in as well.”

With three goals and three assists from 14 games this season, Dorgu has had a fantastic recent run, scoring in back-to-back victories over Manchester City and Arsenal.
