Barcelona defeated Slavia Prague 4-2 in the Champions League on Wednesday thanks to goals from Fermin Lopez in the first half and Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski in the second.
The outcome puts Barcelona in the running for a league phase top-eight finish, which ensures automatic advancement to the round of 16.
Next week, the Catalans play their last league phase match at home against FC Copenhagen.
After losing to San Sebastian in La Liga on Sunday stopped a run of 11 straight wins, Barcelona returned to winning ways on a chilly night in Prague.
Slavia, the reigning Czech champions, have only managed three draws and two goals in the Champions League this season before returning from a winter break.
However, after ten minutes, they seized the lead thanks to a glancing header from Tomas Holes by striker Vasil Kusej, who drove the ball across the goal line at the far post.
In the 34th minute, Lopez tied the score for Barcelona after captain Frenkie de Jong’s pass found him unmarked in the box.
Eight minutes later, Lopez gave the Catalans the lead with a low shot that caught Jindrich Stanek of Slavia off guard.
However, Lewandowski’s deflection of a corner into Joan Garcia’s net soon before halftime tied the score for Slavia.
Three minutes after taking Pedri’s place, Olmo hammered brilliantly into the top corner in the 63rd minute, saving Barca from blushing.
On minute 71, Lewandowski scored from close range after receiving an assist from Marcus Rashford.
Due to a muscle injury, Hansi Flick was without striker Ferran Torres and suspended Lamine Yamal.
In remembrance of the victims of Sunday’s train accident in Spain, which claimed 43 lives, the game began with a minute of silence.
After falling to third-bottom in the standings with a fourth defeat in seven European games, Slavia were eliminated.
