Alvaro Morata, a striker for Como and Spain, has acknowledged that he is “suffering” after his dramatic breakup with wife Alice Campello, but he has denied rumors that he had an affair.
The Italian model and the 33-year-old forward, who have four kids together, made an effort to get back together earlier this year but have since declared their divorce.
When discussing the effects of the split, Morata disclosed that he and Campello are both experiencing emotional difficulties.
We are in pain because, despite our affection for one another, we are unable to comprehend one another.
Since many people claim that Alice is the one in pain, she isn’t having a worse time than I am.
“I want to clarify that we are both in pain; it isn’t that she is resentful; we are both in pain.”
According to reports, Morata left the family home, although Campello and the former Chelsea striker are reportedly still getting along well for the benefit of their kids.
Additionally, Morata denied rumors that he had a love relationship with sports management specialist Elena Sirigu, stating that he is not currently looking for a new partner.
“At this time, I’m not interested in having a special pal or anything similar.
“On the day I have a special friend, you’ll see me strolling about with her as usual.
“Those who assert that third parties are involved in a separation such as this, particularly when children are involved, are merely heartless.”
Campello has also refuted claims of infidelity by Morata.
The June 2017 marriage ended in August 2024, just after Morata’s contribution to Spain’s victory over England in the Euro 2024 final.
Morata has had a stellar career, winning league titles in Spain, Italy, and Turkey in addition to the Champions League. He is now on loan at Como from AC Milan. In his time at Chelsea, where he won the FA Cup and Europa League, he also scored 24 goals.
