Zamfara APC claims that bandit leader Bello Turji’s membership card was fabricated.

The All Progressives Congress chapter in Zamfara State claimed to have found a phony party membership card belonging to bandit leader Bello Turji in circulation, characterizing it as a cunning attempt to damage the party’s reputation.

Yusuf Idris, the party’s spokesperson in Zamfara, revealed this on Monday in a statement provided to reporters.

According to Idris, the party discovered a fake APC membership card that purportedly had the infamous bandit kingpin’s name and photo on it, giving the impression that he was a party member.

“Mischievous elements who are dissatisfied with the seamless, effective, and well-coordinated process of the state’s ongoing e-registration of members carried out this.

The bold “26” on the date, which is supposed to correspond to January 26, makes the counterfeit obvious even to the average person. In a similar vein, security agencies and Nigerians in general are familiar with the image of the hardened criminal featured on the card, according to Idris.

“No one can be duly registered without a National Identification Number, which Turji does not have,” he continued. This highlights the mischief-makers’ ignorance and makes their attempts pointless because APC programs are almost perfect.

The forgers also overlooked the fact that a person must fill out a form with all of their personal information before being captured in order to be enrolled by the National Identity Management Commission. So how could NIMC apprehend a man with a rifle on his shoulders and a military uniform? These characteristics are inappropriate.

Idris said that no identification number starting with the code “26,” which is assigned to Niger State rather than Zamfara State, was found in documents from the current registration process in Kware Ward.

“There is no ID number with the initial code ’26,’ which belongs to Niger State but was falsely used on a Zamfara membership card, not to mention the wrong name, according to our records of today’s registration in Kware Ward,” he stated.

He claims that preliminary investigations have connected the counterfeit card to Babangida Aliyu Shinkafi (Waziri), an associate of Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, who was recently barred from taking part in the current e-registration process because of alleged questionable behavior.

He continued, “The forgery is connected to him since it initially surfaced on his Facebook page.”

“In summary, the state chapter of the party and the APC e-registration coordination team in Zamfara fully disassociate themselves from the phony membership card with registration number: ID APC 261113000102.”

Idris clarified that Zamfara State membership cards start with the code “36,” not “26.”

He declared, “This demonstrates the perpetrators’ ignorance.”

He, therefore, urged well-meaning citizens to disregard the fake card, noting that the matter had been reported to security agencies.
“We are confident that the perpetrators will be arrested and prosecuted,” he said.
