Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has addressed Sarah Omakwu, the Senior Pastor of the Family Worship Center in Abuja, over her request that the Jabi Lake recreation area not be used for private construction.
According to Naija News, Omakwu made the plea in a video that was posted on her Instagram page on Sunday, in which she was seen speaking to the minister while kneeling on the pulpit.
The priest claimed that although she was unable to oppose the FCT minister, she was pleading with him as a mother in the nation.
“I cannot fight the minister of the FCT,” she declared. I am unable to. However, as a mother in this country, I beg that no one be granted access to Jabi Lake Recreation Center.
In response, Wike stated that he is not influenced by feelings when performing his job during his monthly news conference in Abuja on Wednesday.
“I’m human in this government, and you don’t expect everyone to be happy; if the majority are happy, then I’m happy,” he declared. You should ask inquiries because some folks don’t grasp what’s happening.
“You mention the woman bowing and pleading, but I’m not moved by such feelings. What is she pleading to do? Jabi Lake is owned by whom?
How do you make it your own? When I first started working there, the location had been given to a business that claimed to want to use it as an entertainment venue, but instead they had turned it into shanties.
“I went there one day and thought, ‘This can’t be; there’s a hotel, but who would stay there when there are shanties everywhere? You have no idea if there are criminals.
