Nigerians have been reassured by President Bola Tinubu that the nation will not permit those who wish to sow discord to undermine its independence, peace, and togetherness.

According to Naija News, the President made the promise on Monday while hosting religious and traditional leaders at the Presidential Villa in Abuja for an interfaith breaking of the fast.

In an effort to foster harmony and collaboration, the gathering brought together leaders from many traditional organizations and religions throughout the nation.

Tinubu discussed the nation’s security issues, especially the actions of terrorists, during the event.

He claimed that as security forces continue to target them, the assailants are growing increasingly desperate.

He claims that Nigeria will continue to fight them in spite of the violence they leave behind.

According to the president, the nation is still committed to eliminating the attackers and bringing about peace.

He went on to say that the government will not let violent groups’ activities deter them and will keep up its efforts till the nation is safer.

Tinubu also discussed the health of the economy, emphasizing that since his administration assumed office, things had begun to get better.

He claimed that although the government inherited significant economic challenges, it was able to stabilize the situation.

The President claims that his administration’s actions have kept the nation from experiencing a financial disaster.

He clarified that efforts are being made by the government to guarantee that pensioners receive their benefits and payments over time.

According to Tinubu, the status of the economy has improved to the point where state governors are no longer having difficulty borrowing funds from banks in order to cover employee salaries.

He declared that the administration will keep up its efforts to boost the country’s economy and raise Nigerians’ standard of living.

Additionally, the President reaffirmed his commitment to funding vital industries like agriculture and education. According to him, these areas are essential for the country’s growth and will contribute to creating a better future for coming generations.

Assuring Nigerians that his administration is still committed to creating a safer and more affluent nation, Tinubu urged them not to give up.

Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe, commended the President for bringing together leaders of the two major religions to break the fast during his speech.

He claimed that despite religious differences, the event shows Nigerians’ oneness.

The traditional ruler also prayed for peace in the country and asked for divine guidance and protection for the nation and its leadership.

On behalf of Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, and the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, the Etsu Nupe attended the function.

Speaking as well, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, declared that the Christian community would keep supporting initiatives meant to boost security and the nation’s economy.

Dr. Stephen Baba-Panya, President of the Evangelical Church Winning All, represented Okoh.

Religious leaders and traditional leaders from Nigeria’s six geographical zones attended the ceremony.

The event was a component of events held throughout Ramadan with the goal of encouraging harmony, harmony, and collaboration among Nigerians.
