The Anambra government demands that classes resume on Monday and threatens to close defaulters.

The Anambra State Government has warned that noncompliant schools will be closed and instructed all types of institutions in the state to guarantee a full resumption of academic activity on Mondays.

Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, the Commissioner for Education, revealed this in an Awka announcement on Thursday.

She stated that school administrators had already received a circular outlining the directive.

“The order, given at the instance of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo, applies to all public, private, mission and returned schools across the state.

“Any school that doesn’t start up again on Mondays will be shut down right away,” she declared.
