Before the 2027 election, Nigerian media celebrity Rufai Oseni has stated that Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress’s (NDC) 2027 presidential candidate, ought to be protected at all costs.
According to Naija News, the statement was made following the Abuja Federal High Court’s approval of a lawsuit aimed at forcing President Bola Tinubu to give Peter Obi the highest level of security.
Rufia Oseni emphasized that nothing must happen to Peter Obi when discussing the development on Arise Television’s “Morning Show.”
“Peter Obi must be protected at all costs, and the unresolved circumstances surrounding the deaths of Bola Ige and Funsho Williams remain a painful reminder that we must never take the safety of our political leaders for granted,” he declared.

In an interview with TVC on Monday, Oshiomhole made the comments, characterizing Obi as a trader whose choices were influenced by short-term calculations.
“A trader is Peter Obi. Traders are not interested in long-term forecasts; instead, they have short-term calculations. They are not programmed to consider the long-term consequences of the circumstance. He stated, “The turnover is within three months, with a maximum of six months.”
Recalling Obi’s earlier statement that he would stay in the All Progressives Grand Alliance in memory of the late Biafran leader Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the former governor of Edo State also questioned Obi’s political consistency.
Oshiomhole claims that after serving as governor, Obi broke that pledge.
