Following the discussion, Fatile stated that the organization was confident in the IGP’s ability and track record to carry out significant reforms that would boost public confidence and raise policing standards across the country.

Disu’s career background was emphasized by Abayomi-Fatile, who cited his significant time as Commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in Lagos, “where he was widely credited with improving operational efficiency and rapid crime response, as well as his service in several strategic postings across the country, where he demonstrated discipline, innovation, and commitment to duty.”
She continued, “His experiences position him to effectively drive reforms that prioritize integrity, training, and community engagement.”
“While policing in today’s environment is complex, sustained effort and collaboration between security agencies and civil society will achieve the desired transformation,” she said.
“Prayer and Support for the Nigerian Armed Forces and Other Security Agencies remains dedicated to promoting morale, accountability, and cooperation between citizens and security institutions through advocacy, engagement, and community-driven initiatives,” she said.
The group also emphasized the significance of ongoing collaboration between security organizations and civil society, pointing out that positive communication and shared accountability are still essential to national security.
In response, IGP Disu expressed gratitude for the group’s support and reaffirmed his dedication to bolstering the Nigeria Police Force through changes meant to enhance public trust, professionalism, and service delivery.
