“Military Coordinated Operations Producing Outcomes”

The Nigerian Armed Forces have received praise from the Citizens Alliance for Security and National Cohesion (CASNC) for their recent nationwide operations.

Numerous rescues, arrests, and disruptions of terrorist activities were mentioned as indicators of increasing operational efficacy.

The group cited the rescue of 13 passengers kidnapped along the Makurdi–Otukpo route in Benue State in a statement signed by its National President, Ibrahim Danjuma.

It stated that following a concerted search effort, the victims were found in a woodland.

The statement said, “This intervention underscores the military’s improved capacity to track and recover victims within a short window, even in difficult terrain.”

The group also mentioned operations in Plateau State, where troops discovered weapons, including a submachine gun, a pistol, and locally manufactured weapons, and detained suspected assailants connected to previous violence.

Some suspects were apprehended while in route, according to CASNC, indicating a move toward intelligence-led operations.

Danjuma stated, “This reflects a shift towards proactive, intelligence-driven operations.”

According to the group, troops in the Northeast neutralized rebels attempting to enter towns and repulsed attempted attacks.

It made mention to operations in the Benisheikh area and along the Kirawa–Pulka axis, where assailants were compelled to flee.

Additionally, CASNC reported that an improvised explosive device was found and safely disposed of in Borno State, averting possible deaths.

According to the group, comparable improvements were noted in other areas.

While forces in Sokoto repelled an onslaught in Sabon Birni Local Government Area, alleged logistics providers to terrorists were detained in Yobe.

It further stated that security personnel in Edo stopped a kidnapping attempt and saved victims, while forces in Kogi destroyed a criminal camp and stopped a logistical courier.

During patrols in the South-East, combined security personnel also found and destroyed explosive devices.

CASNC emphasized that local community intelligence was crucial to many of the achievements.

It is impossible to overestimate the importance of citizens’ timely information. It keeps improving security operations’ efficacy, according to Danjuma.

Olufemi Oluyede, the Chief of Defense Staff, was also commended by the committee for enhancing security agency collaboration.

It claimed that intentional leadership attempts to incorporate intelligence and quick response mechanisms are reflected in the degree of synergy across various theaters.

The organization acknowledged that security issues still exist, but stated that recent advancements demonstrate quantifiable improvement.

It emphasized that cooperation between residents and security services is still essential to establishing enduring peace and called for ongoing support for the military in terms of welfare, equipment, and public trust.
