Sunday Igboho Adeyemo, a Yoruba Nation activist, has refuted allegations that he was involved in the rescue of three Adelabu family members who were kidnapped in Oyo State.
Igboho claimed in a statement that rumors connecting him to the operation were untrue and deceptive.
He claimed that security personnel carried out the rescue, tracking the abductors to their hiding place, rescuing the victims, and apprehending suspects involved in the crime.
He emphasized that the security agencies involved should receive full credit for the operation’s success.
According to the statement, “security personnel carried out the operation, tracking down the kidnappers’ hideout, rescued the victims, and arrested suspects linked to the abduction.”
Igboho’s explanation came after remarks made by media personality Rufai Oseni, who allegedly connected him to the rescue operation, according to Naija News.
The activist advised the public to rely on reliable information about the occurrence and refuted the assertion.
Recently, a police operation in Oyo State saved the victims, who are relatives of former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu.
The rescue attracted a lot of attention and sparked fresh conversations concerning South-West security operations.
Residents and governmental authorities applauded the operation’s success and praised security forces for ensuring the victims’ release.
