Afrobeats musician Davido has thanked his father, Adedeji Adeleke, for standing up for him in public during the current Ayo Labinjoh paternity dispute.
Recall that last week, Aanu Adeleke, the teenage daughter of Ayo Labinjoh, wrote an open letter to Davido requesting a paternity test to support her claim.
In a series of posts on X, Davido, who denied ever meeting Labinjoh, claimed that Aanu Adeleke is not his daughter based on five DNA tests that had already been done.
Ayo Labinjoh, however, insisted that the musician is her daughter’s biological father and rejected the results of the DNA testing, calling them fraudulent.
Adedeji Adeleke intervened to defend his kid amid the escalating situation.
He disclosed that both Davido and his cousin, fellow artist B-Red, underwent paternity testing during a press conference on Wednesday.
Davido responded to his father’s intervention by thanking the public display of support on his Instagram story on Thursday. “Thank you my loving Father,” the singer wrote beside a picture of himself and his dad.
