The physical and credential screening process for candidates for the 2025–2026 recruitment into the Force will start on Monday, according to the Lagos State Police Command.
This was said in a statement released in Lagos on Thursday by SP Abimbola Adebisi, the command’s spokesperson.
According to Adebisi, the screening would take place every day at 7:00 a.m. at the Police College in Ikeja from March 9 to April 18.
She claims that the exercise is only open to candidates who are native to Lagos State and who have successfully finished the online registration process in order to be hired as General Duty and Specialist Police Constables.
The invitation slip with the designated table, the credential screening form, and the original National Identity Number printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission are among the necessary documents.
O’Level certificates, birth certificates or age declarations, and certificates from the local government or state of origin are additional.
Additionally, trade test certificates must be presented by specialist applicants.
“Applicants must also submit a properly completed and signed guarantors’ form with photocopies and passport photos of referees attached,” she stated.
Additionally, the speaker stated that the two flat files containing the original and duplicate copies of credentials must have recent passport photos attached.
She claims that an application will not be taken into consideration for the screening process if they do not provide the necessary documentation.
She advised candidates to closely follow the exercise’s other instructions as well as their scheduled dates.
She emphasised that the screening process was free of charge and would be conducted strictly on merit in line with professional standards.
Adebisi cautioned the public to report any person or organization requesting payment in relation to the hiring process.
