While getting ready for his baby’s naming ceremony, controversial Nigerian street-pop musician Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, was engaged in a single accident.
According to Naija News, Portable’s automobile had a brake malfunction on Thursday night, which led to the mishap in Ogun State.
In a video posted to his Instagram page, Portable described the incident in detail and claimed to have avoided death by driving his car into a ditch to avoid running into another vehicle.
“My fans, join me to appreciate God,” the singer stated in Yoruba. This evening, I was just leaving the house when the collision occurred.
“I didn’t get wounded; nothing did me any harm. It dawned on me abruptly that the car’s brakes had failed. Thank God, my people have come to the scene of the incident and are not here to transport my corpse.
“I have already purchased two cows for the naming ceremony of my son. Thankfully, there was no collision while the trailer was traveling on the road.
Remember that a few days ago, Portable and his wife Bewaji celebrated the naming ceremony of their newborn child by giving out free Ankara aso ebi clothing.
