Afrobeats musician Spyro has shared the lengthy and challenging journey he took to achieve success in the music business.

According to Naija News, he clarified that his career didn’t really take off until about three years ago, after sixteen years of arduous struggle and setbacks.

Spyro claimed that he had some of the darkest moments of his life during this time, which were characterized by uncertainty and disappointment.

Despite the difficulties, he said that his life and work unexpectedly altered, taking him from struggle to prominence, and he acknowledged his religion for making a difference.

“If someone had told me three years ago that I would become this fly, I would have argued it,” he said in an Instagram post. I’ve been working hard in my field for sixteen years, and when Jesus changed everything, I was at my lowest point. Please don’t give up.

In other news, Nigerian musician Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, disclosed that once he made the decision to pursue a career in music, his relationship with his father, Fatai Odunsi, became strained.

According to Naija News, Asake stated that his father was adamantly against his job decision in a recent interview with YouTuber Korty EO.

The Sungba crooner went on to say that by running away from his father in order to pursue his passion, he disobeyed him.
