I like ladies, but I’m not a womanizer – 2Baba

Veteran musician Innocent Idibia, better known by his stage as 2Baba, has addressed long-standing rumors and public perception on his personal life by stating that he is a woman lover rather than a womanizer.

2Baba clarified this in an interview with Voice of Nigeria, which was released on Wednesday. In the conversation, he discussed marriage, family, fatherhood, love, celebrity, and the demands of public scrutiny.

“The most common misunderstanding about me is that I’m a womanizer. I’m simply direct; I enjoy women. I’m a lover boy, though. “I love deeply,” 2Baba declared.

The iconic singer shared that juggling his music career and parenting his kids has been one of his biggest personal challenges as he reflects on fatherhood.

Despite his gratitude for having eight children, he expressed sadness at the paucity of opportunities he has had to spend time with them. He did, however, say that his kids were a continual source of happiness and pride in his life.

According to the award-winning vocalist, “I now have eight children.” I feel fortunate and content, but I’m also sorry that I haven’t been able to spend the kind of time I should have with them all together. Sometimes it affects me in some way.

“They are wonderful, intelligent individuals. All I want is to be there more. It affects me in every way.

The artist also responded to criticism of his wife, Natasha, namely allegations that she controls him or has a big say in his choices. He characterizes these kinds of stories as frequently detached from reality.

“Everyone now has a voice in everyone’s affairs. There are instances when individuals say really hurtful things.

You develop a thick skin, but occasionally it affects you. She is a strong, intelligent woman, and reality is reality,” he remarked.

2Baba also disclosed that he is inherently timid, even though he is a well-known figure and has performed on some of the largest stages in the world. He clarified that he frequently had to venture outside of his comfort zone as part of his job.

“I’m a really shy person, but my job doesn’t allow me to be that way.

Sometimes I just want to relax and be by myself. I’d like to hang out at other times. I enjoy the outdoors; I have my times,” he continued.
