According to Nollywood actress Faithia Williams, her mother passed away, but the news was kept a secret from her until after her 55th birthday celebration.
The actress said in a heartfelt statement on her Instagram site Monday that she was not informed of her mother’s death at the time, which occurred the night before the birthday celebration she celebrated on Thursday, February 5.
She added, “I was cruelly kept in the dark about the death of my beloved mother on the eve of my party.”
The reality of her death hasn’t quite set in, Faithia said, describing her late mother as her “cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner.”
The actress, who finds comfort in her faith, said the Williams family has decided to keep the situation secret for the time being and is asking for public prayers and support.
“My siblings and I will greatly appreciate your prayers and affection during this time. Details of the burial will be revealed later,” she continued.
Fans and coworkers from all around the entertainment business have expressed their sympathies since the announcement.
