The official hymn for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will feature Colombian pop singer Shakira and Afrobeats artist Burna Boy.
Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the song Dai Dai will be released on Thursday, May 14.

After Davido’s contribution to Hayya Hayya (Better Together) for the 2022 tournament in Qatar, Burna Boy is now the second Nigerian musician to feature on an official World Cup song.
The 2026 competition will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It is anticipated that Estadio Azteca would host the first game, and MetLife Stadium will host the championship game.
Burna Boy’s participation enhances his developing football credentials. The singer performed at the 2023 final in Turkey and earlier worked on a theme related to the UEFA Champions League.
Whether he and Shakira will sing Dai Dai during the 2026 World Cup opening ceremony or the final next summer is still up in the air.
