“To the world, our father was the iconic music legend whose vision, instincts, and unwavering pursuit of excellence shaped the soundtrack of countless lives,” the statement continued.

“He made a lasting impact on culture that will last for generations by finding, coaching, and supporting the greatest musicians in modern music history.”

“To his family, Clive was Dad and Granddaddy, the dependable figure at the core of our existence, the well of knowledge, fortitude, inspiration, and unwavering love. Despite his remarkable career achievements, he never lost sight of what really mattered: the people he loved.

“Family remained Clive’s greatest pride and deepest joy throughout every chapter of his extraordinary life.” Today, we honor the father who guided our family with dignity, decency, and charity as well as a legendary character whose impact altered music forever.
