One Party State: Tinubu’s Assistant Says, “Your Agenda Is Dead On Arrival” Obi, Peter

Olusegun Dada, President Bola Tinubu’s special assistant on social media, has criticized former presidential candidate Peter Obi for a comment regarding the plans of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to establish a one-party state.

According to Naija News, Peter Obi urged all well-meaning Nigerians to participate in the demonstration to protect the nation’s democracy in a post via 𝕏 on Wednesday.

“We, members and leaders of the ADC, and other well-meaning Nigerians, lovers of democracy, are saying that our democracy must not be killed,” he wrote. We reject a one-party system, and as a result, we are urging Nigerians who value national security, unity, and peace to stand with us in defending democracy.

Olusegun Dada responded to the tweet by claiming that Peter Obi attempted to portray Nigeria as a one-party state due to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) problem, which he called offensive to all Nigerians.

“Mr. Obi, as of right now, @inecnigeria has 21 registered political parties in Nigeria,” he stated. In Nigeria’s national and subnational governments, about half of these parties have elected legislators. The party you ran on (before fleeing as usual) still controls Abia State and has elected representatives in the national legislature. Your attempt to portray Nigeria as a one-party state due to your present political SPV’s (The ADC) self-inflicted shot to the leg is offensive to every rational Nigerian. When you arrive, your agenda is dead.
