President Bola Tinubu’s media assistant Daniel Bwala has responded to the uproar over his recent appearance on Al Jazeera, when Mehdi Hasan interviewed him.
In a video that Symfoni TV posted, Bwala stated that he would prefer not to delve too far into the issue.
According to Naija News, he clarified that the events surrounding the interview were not typical but rather a deliberate attempt to remove him from his position as the president’s special adviser.
Despite his belief that he was merely performing his duties, he claimed that the situation was set up in a way that may get him into trouble.
He claimed that the attempt was intended to provide him an excuse to be fired.
Bwala also disclosed that President Tinubu recently assigned him the responsibility of interacting with foreign media to discuss the government and address global concerns.
He claimed that this task has led him to defend the administration on a number of venues.
He continued by saying that he had participated in roughly 187 interviews with various media outlets since getting the command.
He insisted that he is ready to defend and represent the government anywhere in the world.
“I don’t want to talk about what happened to me recently because it was a calculated plan, an orchestration to get me sacked,” he stated. Will you be fired for taking a bullet for your principal? Will your incompetence result in your termination?
