Gospel musician Kehinde Adegbodu has shared details about his twin brother Taiwo Adegbodu’s unexpected death, including what transpired just before the singer’s passing.
Taiwo, a member of the evangelical music duo Adegbodu Twins, passed away in late February, according to Naija News.
Kehinde acknowledged the tragic news at the time, but he did not provide an explanation for his brother’s demise.
A week or so later, Kehinde revealed more information to guests who had come to their Ibadan home to offer condolences.
He clarified during the conversation that his brother had not been suffering from any disease before to the event that ultimately resulted in his demise.
He claimed that the night before the catastrophe, they had both gone about their daily lives.
Around nine o’clock at night, they all went to their individual rooms to slumber after their customary evening prayers.
Taiwo allegedly complained of chest problems later that evening and went to his brother’s room.
According to Kehinde, his twin came on his door at around eleven p.m. to let him know how he was feeling.
In an effort to provide him with emergency medical assistance, Kehinde hurried him to a hospital.
But things immediately got worse, and the singer passed away just minutes after getting to the hospital.
“He came to knock on my door at 10:55 p.m. and said he was having chest pains. I drove him to the hospital right away, and he died a few minutes later,” he stated. He never got sick.
“On Saturday, February 28, after our regular nightly prayers at 9:00 p.m., we went to our separate rooms.”
