Top 10 EPL Goal Scorers for 2025–2026 Season: Haaland Wins Third EPL Golden Boot

Erling Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, earned the English Premier League (EPL) Golden Boot for the 2025–2026 campaign after leading the English top division in goals scored.

The Norwegian attacker won the prize for the third time in four seasons at Manchester City after scoring 27 goals in 35 league games, according to Naija News.

After an outstanding season that won him a spot in Brazil’s World Cup squad, Igor Thiago, a striker for Brentford, concluded the season with 22 goals, five fewer than Haaland.

Haaland has now won the Golden Boot three times in the Premier League era, following in the footsteps of Alan Shearer and Harry Kane.

Only Mohamed Salah and Thierry Henry, who have each won the prize four times, are currently ahead of him.

Before regaining the award in the 2025–2026 season, the 25-year-old had previously won it during his first two seasons with Manchester City.

Manchester City’s attempt to keep Arsenal from winning the Premier League was unsuccessful despite Haaland’s scoring prowess.

In Sunday’s season-ending 2-1 loss to Aston Villa, City marked the conclusion of Pep Guardiola’s trophy-filled ten-year reign in his final game as manager. Haaland was left out of the team.

After City lost important points in the final stages of the season, Arsenal was ultimately named winners for the first time in 22 years.

Haaland scored 19 of his 27 Premier League goals in the first 17 games of the season.

His early-season performance demonstrated his value to Guardiola’s team and kept City firmly in the running for the championship.

But the champions suffered a costly slump around the start of the season.

Haaland only scored once in seven games during that time, on a penalty against Brighton, and City only won two of those games.

At a pivotal point in the campaign, their title competitors were able to gain ground because of that challenging period.

Later, as City made a last-ditch effort to win the championship, Haaland found his form again.

He scored the game-winning goal away to Liverpool and against Arsenal in a match that was supposed to determine the title last month.

However, despite Haaland’s goals in crucial games, City was unable to keep complete control of the championship contest.

In the end, Arsenal moved clear and won the league title thanks to dropped points against Everton and Bournemouth.
