When Nigeria’s Super Falcons begin their training camp in Casablanca on Monday, they will intensify their preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
All invited players are likely to arrive to camp on the first day of the competition, as head coach Justine Madugu announced a 25-player roster on Friday.
Before traveling to Rabat for their Group C games, the nine-time African champions will complete the next stage of their preparations in Casablanca.
Nigeria is traveling to Morocco in pursuit of an unprecedented 11th WAFCON title in an effort to solidify their hegemony over women’s football on the continent.
In Group C, the Super Falcons have been paired with debutants Egypt, Zambia, and Malawi.
On Tuesday, July 28, Madugu’s team will play the Scorchers of Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat to kick off their campaign.
On Saturday, August 1, they will play Zambia’s Copper Queens at the same location. On Wednesday, August 5, they will play Egypt at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat to complete the group stage.
As Africa’s qualifying campaign for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, the competition has additional significance beyond the regional title.
The top four Moroccan teams will automatically go to the world finals.
