Alex Iwobi of Fulham was robbed at a knifepoint

Alex Iwobi, a midfielder for the Super Eagles, was left disturbed by a break-in at his house that allegedly resulted in the theft of goods worth £500,000.

Alex Iwobi, a current Fulham player, was held at knifepoint during the incident while assailants broke in, according to Daily Sports. Luxury timepieces, jewelry, two iPhones, and a MacBook were allegedly taken by the intruders.

Additionally, it is thought that Iwobi had £200,000 in cash on him at the time, which was allegedly stolen.

An inquiry into the robbery has been launched by the authorities.

The 29-year-old Nigerian international played for Fulham in their 3-1 Premier League victory against Burnley just days before to the incident.

Iwobi has been acknowledged for his work outside of football, gaining a spot on the Football Black List 2025, despite the off-field ordeal.

He was listed with Eberechi Eze and Jess Carter in the “Players Off the Pitch” section of the list, which was released on Tuesday.

The program, which was established in 2008, honors Black football players who have a positive influence through activism and community service.

Iwobi received recognition for starting Project 17 in 2021, which aims to assist marginalized Black youngsters by providing football clinics, mentorship, educational workshops, and the yearly P17 Cup.

He has also received the Baobab Award in Sport for his work, demonstrating his impact on youth in Nigeria and elsewhere.

Shakira Waithe and Naomi Bedeau are two more names on the 2025 list.

“We are proud of you, Alex @alexiwobi,” the Super Eagles wrote on their official 𝕏 page in response to the honor.
