Bello Nakwada, the secretary to the Zamfara government’s biological brother, switched from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Malam Yusuf Idris, the State APC Publicity Secretary, made this announcement on Thursday in Gusau.
“In another historic defection ahead of the 2027 General Elections, the younger brother of the Secretary to the Zamfara Government,
Alhaji Bello Nakwada has declared his intention to switch from the PDP to the APC.
One of Gov. Dauda Lawal’s campaign sponsors for the 2023 election is Nakwada.
In a same vein, Hon. Hassan Idris Gusau, the PDP’s candidate for Gusau Local Government Area Chairmanship in the state’s most recent local government election, defected to the APC.
“The Hon. Minister of State for Defense, Dr. Bello Matawalle, graciously welcomed both former prominent PDP figures and some of their supporters in Abuja on Thursday.”
The detectors, in their separate speeches, hailed the togetherness in the APC, where members were enjoying equitable treatment, courtesy of its leaders, such Matawalle and Sen. Abdulaziz Yari.
“They declared their complete loyalty to the APC and its leaders, assuring that already their supporters and well-wishers had fully supported the defection and promised to work for the APC’s success,” Idris continued.
Matawalle gave the new members assurances that they would benefit from all of the APC’s advantages, privileges, and other acts of kindness.
He tasked them with urging their followers to actively participate in the ongoing party member e-registration process.
