According to Sumner Sambo, a political analyst, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has no desire to join the same political organization as Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike.
He claimed that Makinde might send his candidate to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) or defect to the party.
During an appearance on the Morning Show on Arise Television, Sambo expressed his opinions.
“Makinde today doesn’t want to be in the same political group with Wike any longer,” stated Sambo.
The Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Bala Mohammed, has stated that he does not see himself in the same camp as Wike since Wike deserted the PDP, which shaped him as a person and provided him with the platform to further his political career over time.
However, take a close look at it. These three individuals have supported the PDP for a considerable amount of time, and party members are starting to claim that they will be held accountable in the future regardless of whether the PDP survives or not.
However, given the current state of affairs and the conversations I’ve had with a few people, Makinde will either defect to the ADC or remain in the PDP, battle to get his preferred successor to join that party, and ultimately destroy the PDP.
“This is because they believe that Wike shouldn’t have the PDP in 2031 to further his political cause, since they have already heard that he will use the PDP in 2031 to further his cause, if they are unable to revive it now.”
