Adeleke Tears, Says It’s Too Much To Take – Former Governor Oyinlola Worries About Presidential Pressure

Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the former governor of Osun State, revealed that Ademola Adeleke, the current governor, once sobbed as a result of pressure from the president.

During a visit on Arise Television, Oyinlola revealed the information.

Speaking about how presidential pressure on political leaders has grown intolerable, even for members of the ruling party, the former governor bemoaned the situation.

Oyinlola revealed that the increasing tendency of defections to the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been a major topic of conversation among political stakeholders, which he characterized as concerning for Nigeria’s democracy.

“If you look at the communique, it was very clear why everyone should be switching to the APC,” he remarked. That was the main topic of conversation.

He continued by narrating a personal meeting with the present Governor, during which Adeleke sobbed due to the amount of pressure he was under from the Presidency.

Oyinlola disclosed that the governor of Osun State had shed tears during a conversation with her. “How can you resist pressure from the president? No matter who you are, it is too much to handle.

The former governor’s comments coincided with escalating discussion about the dominance of the ruling APC and the declining room for opposition politics in Nigeria.
