Pastor David Ibiyeomie, General Overseer of Salvation Ministry, recalled providing spiritual assistance to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike so that he might become Governor of Rivers State.
According to Naija News, Ibiyomie said during a sermon at the church’s headquarters in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, that Wike met him just as he was about to lose his election in court and prayed against it.
Additionally, Pastor Ibiyeomie asserted that Wike visited with him at a time when it appeared nearly impossible for him to win reelection.
The clergyman claimed that although others had previously planned for Wike’s defeat, he intervened on his behalf.
“Wike lost in the High Court, lost in the Appeal Court, and the Supreme Court has already ruled that he should not be governor,” he declared.
“He was trembling when I called him when I was in Israel, but I reassured him not to be afraid.
He answered, “Papa, I believe you; he was in the PDP and the APC was in power and we were doing five nights of Glory,” when I promised him that God would intervene. Wike approached me following the show on Tuesday; the verdict was scheduled to be made public on Friday.
I informed him that I may order the judgment to be reversed even if it was against him. Because he was a member of the opposition party at the time, he never had money.
“Papa, I knew this is God,” he said when everything went his way. During his Thanksgiving, I was the only priest invited.
“He was going to lose the election the second time he came.” Someone approached me and said, “You prayed for Wike, we will see how he wins,” after they had already planned how to make him lose.
“I made a covenant with God while Mike was trembling. I didn’t inform Wike that I had given millions to God on his behalf.
“Lord, not for his sake, but for my sake,” I answered.
