Kano Private School Closed, Teacher Remanded Due to Students’ Alleged Sexual Abuse

Al-Hadeed Private School has been ordered to close immediately until further notice by Tijjani Amiru Bilyaminu, Chairman of the Ungogo Local Government Area in Kano State.

According to Naija News, the ruling came after a magistrate’s court remanded Uncle Kamal, one of the school’s teachers, for allegedly sexually abusing four young students.

According to Bilyaminu, the shutdown was required to enable a thorough investigation and guarantee that justice was done.

The head of the council declared that abuse of children in the local government area would not be accepted by his administration.

He stated that the council’s primary duty was still to protect children, and that anyone found to have violated their rights would be prosecuted.

He claimed that the action against the school was done to guarantee the victims’ justice and to expose the suspect to the full force of the law.

Bilyaminu reaffirmed the council’s dedication to upholding children’s rights and welfare at all times.

Due to accusations involving four kids, the teacher was arraigned before a magistrate’s court on Monday.

Hassana, Hussaina, Gambo, and their five-year-old sister were named as the alleged victims.

Badamasi Gandu, the prosecution’s attorney, informed the court that the children had undergone a medical checkup before to the suspect’s appearance in court.

According to Gandu, medical professionals attested to the children’s sexual abuse.

The teacher was remanded to a detention facility after the court heard the case.

After that, the matter was postponed until June 6 in order to hold additional hearings.

Parents and locals are worried about the development, and many are demanding a full inquiry into the claims.

The head of the Ungogo council stated that the local government would keep collaborating with the appropriate authorities to guarantee children’s safety in schools and other establishments.

He went on to say that the council will not think twice about taking decisive action against any person or organization deemed to have neglected its responsibility to safeguard kids.

The council states that the closure of Al-Hadeed Private School would continue until additional orders from the relevant authorities are received.
