Three young people were killed by armed terrorists during a nocturnal raid on Pwomol Village in the Heipang District of the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
According to Naija News, the victims were allegedly part of a vigilante group that was monitoring the neighborhood at the time of the incident.
The attack happened at midnight, and the attackers are said to have targeted young vigilantes who were watching over the village.
Another resident was seriously hurt during the event and is presently being treated in a hospital, according to sources who talked with Vanguard.
According to reports, this is the second attack on the neighborhood in a single week, which has increased locals’ concerns about further acts of violence.
Rwang Tengwong, National Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders-Association (BYM), confirmed the event and stated that a suspected attacker was later apprehended by security personnel.
He claims that the guy was captured close to the Redemption Camp region between Heipang and Kassa at around one in the morning.
According to Tengwong, the man was apprehended by security officers after bloodstains were discovered on his body.
He further stated that security personnel are now detaining the suspect in Barkin Ladi’s Sector 4.

Security services were encouraged by the association to make sure the detained suspect is prosecuted.
It also urged authorities to question the suspect in order to identify any further attackers.
