After a private video of her was published online, Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage talked about the emotional difficulties she went through.
According to Naija News, she made this revelation on the American radio program Hot 97.
The mother of one claimed that the criticism, which came from both fans and prominent figures, was severe and extremely painful.
“People with platforms were awful, and I was scolded for it. She described how she was treated harshly even though she was the victim, saying, “They blamed me.”
She clarified that some people even said she released the footage in order to remain relevant, a claim she vehemently refuted.
“I don’t want to feel it,” the singer said, describing how draining the experience was. That wears me out, which is why I occasionally turn off. I’m listening to music and taking a few shots of tequila.
