Gumi said, “FG knows all terrorists, I don’t meet them alone.”

Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, an Islamic cleric, asserts that the Federal Government is aware of every terrorist’s location and name.

The assertion was made by the contentious cleric in a DRTV interview.

He was responding to claims that he is acquainted with, communicates with, and supports terrorists and outlaws.

“Every terrorist is identified by name and location by the government. I go to negotiations with the military, police, and other security services rather than by myself.

“I would visit the Emirs. Actually, we visited one forest. He said, “I even went into the bush with women.”

In the meantime, Gumi has stated that if armed groups like the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Boko Haram, and bandits operating in Nigeria want to give up their weapons and embrace communication, he is willing to support them.

Gumi made the claim in an interview with DRTV, emphasizing that the nation’s persistent insecurity could be resolved through amicable talks with the Federal Government.

The preacher stated that the groups’ readiness to give up violence and engage in dialogue with Nigerian authorities would determine whether or not he would assist them.

We are men of peace, and dialogue may bring about peace. Even IPOB, who had previously considered secession, would have my support if they were willing to put down their weapons and attend a roundtable discussion. Violence is what we want to avoid,” Gumi stated.

He emphasized that one of the best methods for settling disputes and bringing stability back to the nation is still negotiation.

Additionally, Gumi promoted a balanced strategy that combined non-kinetic tactics with military action to address instability.

He believes that discussions with stakeholders and intellectual involvement could help address the underlying causes of violence nationwide.

What we’re asking is, how can one overcome insecurity? Let’s invite thinkers to give a speech. He questioned, “What are the experts saying now regarding the situation in Nigeria?”

The preacher also attributed the escalating insecurity on Nigeria’s socioeconomic problems.

He listed a number of problems that need to be resolved in order to bring about enduring peace, including inadequate healthcare facilities, unstable electrical supplies, bad infrastructure, and inadequate educational systems.

“Look at how awful the road system is. Electricity is costly and unpredictable. Avoid discussing healthcare. When a headache strikes, anyone with anything—even our wealthy men—flies elsewhere. “Don’t discuss education, so what’s going on here?” he asked.
